No charges laid in fatal pedestrian collision: P. A. police

Sixty-seven-year-old Stewart Fleury is remembered for always helping others.

PRINCE ALBERT – The driver who hit and killed a pedestrian last year won’t face any charges, say police.

Stewart Fleury, age 67, was declared deceased after he was hit by a vehicle just before 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2022, in the 500 Block of 28th Street East.

Prince Albert Police Service say their investigation has determined that the collision was accidental. The Crown has reviewed the incident and no charges will be laid.

Fleury worked as a dishwasher and enjoyed СÀ¶ÊÓƵ a prep cook with food services, according to his obituary. He also volunteered for the Metis Fall Festival and Prince Albert exhibition.

Fleury left behind a daughter and two grandchildren.

On an online tribute, Fleury was remembered for always helping others.

“He was always smiling and helpful,” posted Maureen.
