Nipawin RCMP investigate possible kidnapping, search for two men

NIPAWIN – Nipawin RCMP are investigating a possible kidnapping.

On Feb. 14 around 11 p.m., Nipawin RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the community of Nipawin. It was also reported that someone may have been taken against their will, but this could not be immediately confirmed by investigators.

As a result of an extensive investigation by Nipawin RCMP and RCMP General Investigative Section, a number of people have been arrested and charged. There are also warrants out for the arrest of two people. Police have seized firearms and their investigation is ongoing. 

Nipawin RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to help locate the following individuals who have warrants for arrest and are charged in relation to this investigation: 

William Chaboyer, 27, from Cumberland House is charged with two counts, kidnapping, and two counts of break and enter. He is five foot eight and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. 

Thorne McKay, 22, from Cumberland House is charged with break and enter. He is five foot 10 and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
