Muenster man faces child porn charges

ICE Unit executes search warrant after Feb. investigation.

MUENSTER – After a police investigation last month, members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a 53-year-old Muenster man with possession of child pornography offences.

The investigation concluded on March 23 when the ICE Unit executed a search warrant in a home. The man is facing two counts possession of child pornography and one count making available child pornography.

He was released form custody on conditions and will make a court appearance in Humboldt Provincial Court on May 1.

The ICE Unit is made up of investigators form the provincial RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. The mandate of the unit is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
