Man arrested by SPS Guns and Gang unit appears in court

The SPS Guns and Gangs Unit had obtained information that a man was unlawfully in possession of a firearm, in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.

Police seized a loaded sawed-off shotgun after raiding a Saskatoon home Tuesday.

SASKATOON – A 21-year-old man was charged with weapons-related offences after police say he was in possession of a loaded shotgun.

Tyson Lee Park Keigan appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday morning on charges of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unsafe storage, and breach of conditions.

Saskatoon Police Service say that on March 7 the SPS Guns and Gangs Unit obtained information that a man was unlawfully in possession of a firearm, in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.

Police arrested Keigan that night at about 10 p.m. Officers obtained a search warrant at the home and found a loaded shotgun and ammunition.
