REGINA — Regina Police were investigating a robbery, and the suspect they arrested is linked to another robbery and potential confinement incident from earlier this year.
Just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, police were called out to 11th Avenue and Osler Street for a report of a robbery in progress.
Police arrived and got a description from the victim. They found someone matching that description not far away in the 1900 block of Ottawa Street, and made an arrest without incident.
Police say their suspect had items taken from the victim and a weapon was also found.
The person arrested is facing several charges, including robbery, possession of stolen property and carrying a concealed weapon.
Through the investigation, police believe this person is connected to robbery and forcible confinement case that happened in April. As a result, this suspect has been charged with another count of robbery, and one count of forcible confinement.
