Man accused of wielding knife in Saskatoon restaurant charged

Callers told police that a male had entered the restaurant and began swinging a knife, threatening to harm individuals inside. No one was injured.

At approximately 4 a.m., Aug. 19, Saskatoon patrol officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the 300 block of 21st Street East. The callers stated that a male had entered the restaurant and began swinging a knife, threatening to harm individuals inside.

SASKATOON – A man wielding a knife in a Saskatoon restaurant has been charged with assault with a weapon.

Saskatoon police say that at approximately 4 a.m., Aug. 19, patrol officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the 300 block of 21st Street East. The callers stated that a male had entered the restaurant and began swinging a knife, threatening to harm individuals inside. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival. No one was injured.

A 23-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon.
