Update: Owner of abandoned ice fishing shelter identified

REGINA BEACH — Update March 22: The owner of the ice fishing shelter has been identified. Conservation officers say thank you to the public for their assistance.

Original post March 19: Regina conservation officers are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the owner of an ice fishing shelter that was left on Last Mountain Lake near Regina Beach on March 18.

The ice fishing shelter was a converted truck box camper. The ice fishing shelter was not marked with the owner’s required information.

All ice fishing shelters south of Highway 16 are supposed to be removed by March 15 each year.
