Humboldt company fined $56,000 after employee injured

SASKATOON – A Humboldt company has been fined $56,000 after an employee was seriously injured by a scissor lift.

On May 15, Hergott Electric Ltd. pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court to one violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. Hergott Electric was fined for failing to provide and maintain a plant, systems of work and working environments.

The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 23, 2020, in Humboldt when a worker suffered serious injuries when a scissor lift drove off the ramps СÀ¶ÊÓƵ used to load it onto a trailer.
