SASKATOON - A fire Monday night has been determined to be accidental due to careless disposal of smoking material. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
The Saskatoon Fire Department says that at 10:16 p.m. on April 17, they got report of a possible fire inside the structure. Three fire engines, one rescue unit, one ladder truck and the Battalion Chief were dispatched. First arriving fire crews received information that the fire was in one of the rooms. All incoming fire crews were assigned their tactical duties.
An interior attack on the fire was conducted by fire crews who quickly had the fire under control. A Fire Investigator was requested to attend. At 10:47 p.m. the scene was turned over to the Fire Investigator.
