The Crown stayed the manslaughter charge against Paige Theriault-Fisher on Tuesday morning in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

SASKATOON – First a charge of second-degree murder was downgraded to manslaughter and now the manslaughter charge has been stayed against a woman accused of killing 23-year-old Hodan Hashi.

The charge against 22-year-old Paige Theriault-Fisher was stayed by the Crown in Saskatoon Provincial Court Tuesday. When the Crown stays charges, they put the charges on hold. This means the charges can still be "brought back to life," within one year and the person could be prosecuted again on those same charges. But this rarely happens.

Saskatoon police say the two women were known to each other. Police had responded to a report of a seriously injured woman at a nightclub in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue СÀ¶ÊÓƵ at about 2:41 a.m. on Nov. 5, 2022.
