Attempted murder charge after stabbing in Regina

Police say the victim sustained serious injuries, transported to hospital by EMS.

REGINA – A 31-year-old woman was arrested on an attempted murder charge after sending another woman to hospital late Sunday night.

Just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 12, police were called to an apartment on the 4600 block of 4th Avenue where a woman had sustained “serious injuries.”

“Police arrived and located the victim, a 26-year-old female, who had been stabbed in the chest,” said RPS in a media release. “The victim was taken to the hospital by EMS and determined to have non life-threatening injuries.”

Investigation culminated with Samantha Patrie of Regina СÀ¶ÊÓƵ arrested without incident, and charged with attempted murder. She will make her first court appearance Feb. 13.
