TURNOR LAKE — Update: On April 28, Christian Desjardin was arrested by Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP in Birch Narrows. He is scheduled to appear in court in La Loche on May 1.

Original post April 29: A warrant has been issued for Christian Desjardin’s arrest and Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP are actively working to locate him.
On April 28, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP received a report of a serious assault.
Investigation determined an adult male, who was armed with a knife, assaulted a male youth on Birch Narrows Dene Nation. The male youth was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.
As a result of investigation, Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP have charged 19-year-old Christian Desjardin with:
- aggravated assault;
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and
- uttering threats.
He is also in breach of a conditional sentence order.
Desjardin is described as approximately five foot six and 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black sweater, black pants and white Adidas shoes with black stripes. He has an upside-down cross tattoo in the middle of his forehead, lettering under his left eye and letters on his right knuckles.
Desjardin may be in the wooded area surrounding Birch Narrows, and is also known to visit Saskatoon and Prince Albert, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
