Now that the colder weather is here (or almost here!) it's a good time to check on our furnace and filters. Replace the furnace filter with one that matches the MERV rating of your furnace. To high a rating will capture more dust etc but your furnace fan will have to work much harder to circulate air through the house. If indoor air quality is a concern for you, you're better investing in a stand-alone air purifier.
