YORKTON - Barb Stefanyshyn-Cote will be this year’s guest speaker at the 25th Annual Chamber Business Dinner in Yorkton.
Stefanyshyn-Cote and her husband, John, are the co-founders and co-owners of Black Fox Farm and Distillery, near Saskatoon.
“Their award-winning gins and whiskies highlight Saskatchewan's unique terroir and flavors, earning global recognition for their distinct prairie character. Barb’s journey to establishing Black Fox is both fascinating and inspiring. Raised on a farm near Springside, graduating from Sacred Heart High School, and earning a degree in agriculture, Barb has infused her deep rural roots and passion for agriculture into the essence of their renowned distillery, bringing a taste of Saskatchewan to the world,” detailed a Yorkton Chamber of Commerce release circulated at a press conference Thursday.
In addition to announcing the guest speaker for the latest edition of the long-running event it was announced that the Platinum Sponsor for 2024 is TD Bank.
“TD is a top 10 North American bank. TD Bank Group offers products and services to over 27.5 million customers world wide. Its proven business model, purpose-driven brand and forward focus sets TD apart. However, as much as we are focused on our clients we are also focused on the community. To live out our brand purpose of enriching the lives of our customers, colleagues, and communities, we launched the TD Ready Commitment in 2018, TD's global corporate citizenship platform, aimed at opening doors to a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow. Through the TD Ready Commitment, TD aspires to link its business, philanthropy and human capital to help people feel more confident - not just about their finances, but also in their ability to achieve their personal goals in a changing world. When addressed together, we believe these will have the greatest positive impact on the people we serve. We are proud of these long-standing partnerships and strive to build lasting success within the communities where we operate,” stated Amar Persaud, Financial Planner at TD Bank via video call.
