Red Shirt Day at SaskAbilities

The Easter Seals initiative coincided with National AccessAbility Week.

YORKTON – Red Shirt Day was celebrated at SaskAbilities May 29 in observance of National AccessAbility Week.

Attendees were encouraged to wear a red shirt in support for people experiencing disability and to celebrate the achievements and contributions of persons experiencing disability as well as pledge their commitment to helping create an accessible and inclusive Canada.

The day's events featured snacks, games, improv and other fun activities to participate in.

Red Shirt Day is an Easter Seals initiative and was first celebrated in 2019 to coincide with National AccessAbility Week which was established in 2017.
