On April 6, 1974 Mike was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Marion Weber. Marion and Mike were blessed with two children, Ron and Angela. Mike was employed for the past 36 years with Royal Ford as an auto detailer. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed meeting people and striking up a conversation. Mike always had a smile on his face and always seemed to be glad to see his friends and family, both new and old. His cheerful disposition and his love for playing and telling jokes was one of his trademarks. He had many interests but his most loved were gardening, fishing, camping and above all else was spending time with his family. Mike leaves to mourn his passing but more importantly celebrate his life his beloved wife, Marion; his son, Ronnie (Donna) Rurak; his daughter, Angela (Joe) Rurak-Picherack; one grandson, Andrew Dmyterko; one sister, Mary Shulman; and by countless extended family and friends. A visitation for family and friends was held on Wednesday evening from Zion Lutheran Church, Yorkton with Reverend Daniel Moeller leading the congregation in prayer. Funeral services were held on Thursday morning from Zion Lutheran Church, Yorkton with Reverend Daniel Moeller officiating. The organist, Verna Liebrecht led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Abide With Me", "Jesus Loves Me", and "Lead Me Lord". The interment followed in the Springside Town Cemetery with Ron Rurak, Joe Picherack, David Weber, Matthew Weber, Glen Dmyterko, Terry Ortynsky, Justin Harlos and John Dyck serving as the active pallbearers and Michael's grandson, Andrew Dmyterko serving as the honourary pallbearer.
