Kenneth Henry Hutchings, known as "Hutch" to family and friends, was born on May 14, 1939 in Saltcoats, SK, the son of Herman and Rose Hutchings. This 小蓝视频 quite a distance for Ken to travel on horseback with the horse and cutter, the family decided to move to Saltcoats so that he could attend school in town. In the late 1950's the family moved back to the farm where Ken and his Dad worked together. Ken also pursued various jobs in his younger years, such as: working on the oil rigs in Alberta, driving trucks hauling cattle or horses, cat skinner, grader operator, working the community pasture, breaking horses and auctioneering until he settled with his love of land and livestock and began farming. In 1963, Ken married Florence Hilton. Together they farmed a cattle and grain operation. Ken had an appreciation for a good saddle horse and always had many around to ride, passing on his appreciation to his children and grandchildren. He shared his welcoming spirit to the local kids in the area who wanted to ride his horses as well (or donkeys . . . Eh, Jim?). Sports was one of Ken's passions. Ken played hockey for many years, enjoyed curling with his buddies, spent time at the river with family and friends, fishing at the lake, water skiing or out hunting on the back roads. Ken was known as the family instigator, if he could get a rise out of somebody that would pretty much make his day. Another of Ken's enjoyments in life was visiting and telling stories around the dining room table with family and friends.
