A young Yorkton golfer has been making waves in the Canadian golf world. Eleven-year-old Ella Kozak has seen recent success in a number of golf tournaments. One of those tournaments includes the Alberta Bantam Championships in Claresholm, AB on August 24-25. At that tournament, Kozak finished in 11th place and was one of two 11 year olds. At the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour in Saskatoon on August 27-28, Kozak won the MJT Girls U15 title. She shot excellent scores of 82, 86 (168) to take the win. She told tournament reporters that 鈥渢he highlight for me was breaking 40 for the first time and shooting 82,鈥� and that she was proud of her win. Kozak also competed in the Future Links Prairie Championship at Woodlawn Golf Club in Estevan. The Yorkton golfer placed 10th overall.
