As more people from India make Yorkton home, they bring their traditions with them. The Indo-Canadian Association of Yorkton brought the traditional celebration of Diwali, the most important celebration in India, to Yorkton. Celebrating the triumph of good over evil, the day is a celebration of lights, with dance, food, friends and family. The goal is to get the festival as close to as what happens in India, and respond to a growing Indian community in Yorkton.Devin Wilger
