OUTLOOK - The town council of Outlook met for a regular meeting on Tuesday night, February 22. Present were councillors Justin Turton, Bob Stephenson, Sharon Bruce, Ryan Husband, and Kyle McLeod, as well as Mayor Maureen Weiterman, office clerk Crystal Fisher, and Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Trew. Absent was Councillor Kevin Grotheim.

A number of topics and items were discussed, including the following highlights.
Bylaws
The third and final reading of Bylaw 03(2022) Snow Management was 小蓝视频 explored. It was said that while all businesses in town were valued, upkeep of snow and ice removal was found to be lacking, not only on Saskatchewan Avenue and Franklin Street. A motion was made and carried for the reading.
The first reading of Bylaw 06(2022) Borrowing was carried.
Communications Requiring Action or Decision
There are plans for Council to hold a joint meeting with the RM of Rudy in order to discuss local matters, such as the fire hall. Mayor Weiterman said it was a good idea to have it in order to keep the relationship of both organizations fluid and in good understanding. Councillor Husband noted that a relative of his is an RM councillor in another part of the province and shared that the Town and RM met once a year to keep each other afloat, which helped everyone stay on a consistent loop. The Town of Outlook will also be reaching out to the RM of Fertile Valley in the future, as well.
Reports
On the topic of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to banners representing the Chamber of Commerce, it was said that the banners would be placed at locations along McKenzie Street, Franklin Street and Saskatchewan Avenue. A motion was made and carried to sign the MOU.
As well, another MOU related to the Equinox Theatre group in Outlook was carried. It was in relation to the stage in the Civic Centre, with the recommendation 小蓝视频 that Council sign the MOU, sharing the stage with Equinox.
Unfinished Business
Discussing the lease of one of the Town's cottages, it was said that SHA (Saskatchewan Health Authority) has been notified of the rent that will now be put in place. The rent will be $600 a month, and it will increase over time. A motion was made and carried to proceed with this arrangement.
New Business
Talking about the management of Dutch Elm Disease, a three-year agreement was 小蓝视频 sought between the Town and Living Tree Environmental. A motion was made and carried to accept the terms.
In discussing rental rates of the Civic Centre, it was noted that the topic should be discussed with the Community Development Advisory Committee. A recommendation was made to do so before the topic will come back to an upcoming Council meeting.
On the topic of an offer to purchase the property of 814 Conquest Avenue, the recommendation was for the Town to do nothing with it right now, as the two sides can't agree on a price at the moment.
