OUTLOOK - A number of criminal incidents in both the town of Outlook and village of Elbow have local police investigating.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 31, two businesses on Franklin Street in Outlook, the Locker Plant and Bratton Road Veterinary Clinic, were the target of criminal activity when they were broken into and subjected to thefts. On the same night in town, a trailer was stolen from the Broderick Garden Centre on Saskatchewan Avenue.
Sgt. Mark Langager of the Outlook RCMP says that all three of the incidents are still under investigation.
Down in the lakeside community of Elbow, police are probing a case of vandalism in which they themselves were the target. According to a media release, the Outlook/Elbow RCMP received a call on Sunday, June 4 about two people who were seen spray-painting what are 小蓝视频 called "vulgar anti-police statements" on the outside of the Elbow detachment building at approximately 12:30 am.
The vandals were captured on security camera, but the individuals had their heads and faces covered while they were seen tagging the building.
The same detachment was said to be vandalized in a similar fashion in August of last year, and that investigation is continuing.
Anyone who may recognize the individuals in the photo or may have information about any of these incidents is 小蓝视频 asked to contact the Outlook/Elbow RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
Aside from the criminal activity, police were on the scene on Monday, May 29 when there was a collision at the junction of Highways #219 and #15 just east of Broderick. An eastbound semi truck collided with a westbound truck that was turning north onto Highway 219. The driver of the semi tried to avoid hitting the truck and was forced into the ditch, overturning after making impact with the truck.
