DELISLE - It seems that hockey teams from all over the local region are either in the midst of seeking championship glory or they've actually attained it, which is exactly what happened this past weekend with the Delisle Bruins Under-13 team.
The team found itself squared up against the Prairie Storm of Balgonie in contendership of the Under-13 'B' Provincial Championship, playing in a two-game series that began on March 24 in Balgonie, where Delisle was victorious at a score of 4-2. When the series came back to home ice back in Delisle on March 31 for Game Two, the score wound up 小蓝视频 a 3-3 tie, which gave the Bruins the win due to overall points.
It also gave the team the U13 'B' Provincial Championship as players celebrated and supporters flooded the ice in Delisle to celebrate with the team. With previous wins in the championship tournament against Humboldt, Kindersley, and Muenster, the final victory against the Prairie Storm for the top title had to have players and staff feeling a flood of accomplishment.
The team includes five players from the Outlook area, including Liam King, Aiden Lee, Connor Edgar, Tucker Bull, and Emery Solnicka.
Coached by David Kielo with assistance from Dan Grona and Blake Rolston, trained by Scott Warren, managed by Janet Warren, and with volunteer work by Jason McLean, the Delisle Bruins championship team is comprised of players Colbie Mines, Liam King, Emery Solnicka, Connor Edgar, Tucker Bull, Aiden Lee, Ferg McMorrow, Vayden Grona, Tyson Mryglod, Wyatt Zoerb, Drew Gates, Carter McLean, Lextyn Walkingbear, Garrett Kinzel, Lane Janssen, Sam Mahussier, Jack Kielo, Jacob Warren, and Brin Rolston.
