CENTRAL BUTTE - A woman from the community of Central Butte was blown away when she learned that she was the one millionth fan to walk through the gates at the recent Country Thunder event that was held near Craven earlier in July.
It started with a phone call for Darby Klassen, who believed at first that she was receiving a scam call.
She told West Central Online that after declining the call, she received a text message from the organizers of Country Thunder Saskatchewan saying they needed to talk to her. She texted back thinking maybe she was in trouble. The organizers answered back saying no, but they needed to ask her some questions.
At one point, Klassen's family and friends told her to get back in touch with the people because a contest was going on at the time. She called the number back and was told that organizers wanted to meet up with her.
Meeting Darby at her campsite, that's when everything changed for the young country music fan.
It was at that point when she learned she was the one millionth fan to come through the gates of Country Thunder Saskatchewan. Klassen described herself as speechless when she got the news. This year was the fourth time that Klassen had been to the Country Thunder event since turning 18 years old.
For 小蓝视频 named the one millionth fan, Klassen's prize package includes a pair of Platinum tickets to Country Thunder for life, as well as access to the backstage hospitality lounge for life, an autographed guitar by the 2024 artist lineup, and more. The prize package carries an estimated worth of over $20,000.
Klassen has said that her ultimate headliner for the show, if she could choose, would be legendary star Alan Jackson.
