When everything works well, there is no problem, but when something fails there is the feeling of helplessness.
When you are alone the problems seem to be magnified.
I am not a handy person on electrical or plumbing issues.
This last week was such a week where I had such issues with both. Of course, living in the city the remedy is to get a professional to come and fi x the problem. You grin and bear the cost of the service, yet at the same time you are thankfulit is available, usually at a moment鈥檚 notice. When it is something that affects the daily life of a person, it is nice to have the problem looked after immediately rather than 小蓝视频 inconvenience for a week or two or even longer.
Last week, gusty winds and a storm went through Medicine Hat. There were high winds, rain and even pea-sized hail that did havoc with trees and property in the city.
Some mature trees were up-rooted, branches broken, and power lines torn down, resulting in power outages. This storm interrupted lives of many people with unexpected
consequences. For some places it took several days to clean up the mess although many volunteered to help.
A case of when all goes well, we tend to take things for granted rather than with appreciation. Even with all the electrical, phone and natural gas lines, technical and cell towers that dot our present day landscape, someone had to be inconvenienced for the service to reach our homes for making our life so much better.
The roadways for travel are also taken for granted until we find something to complain about such as roughness and pot holes. Our lack of appreciation is suddenly not there until
something we need does not meet with our expectations.
Although setbacks are often temporary, let us face the problem with understanding rather than complaining.
Think about it!
