The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Female Athlete of the Month for May is Lea Burnard. Burnard is a regular in archery with the YRHS and travelled with the team to Florida back in October. Her last two tournaments went very well for her. At the home tournament at the YRHS, she scored 292/ 300, which was a personal best. At provincials, she placed second against all high school girls. Burnard's other high school involvement includes the band, travelling to music festivals and Banff. She is a PreAP English and Math student and has maintained an above-80 average throughout high school.
Congratulations Lea! The Cab Clothing YRHS Male Athlete of the Month for May is Dalton Bakke. Bakke in active in just about everything at the YRHS. The current Gr. 12 student competes in a number of sports, the most recent accomplishment was representing both his school and city at the 2011 Ed Henick Senior Bowl high school all-star football game. His plans for football will likely continue at the Junior level next fall with the Regina Thunder of the Prairie Football Conference.
