This past Wednesday night marked the annual celebration of excellence at the various levels of minor hockey.
Award winners are as follows:
Initiation Program. From the Tim Hortons Double/Double Terriers, Reid Pfeifer, Most Dedicated, Chris Cole, Most Sportsmanlike and Jake Farrell, Most Improved.
From the Tim Hortons team: Landon Burkell, Most Dedicated, Emma Edel, Most Sportsmanlike, Lonnie Badger, Most Improved.
From the Ice Capps Terriers: Matthew Ronn, Most Dedicated, Chett Ostapowich, Most Sportsmanlike, Jagger Kardynal, Most Improved.
From the Tim Hortons Fritters, Brandon Spilchen, Most Dedicated, Owen Effa, Most Sportsmanlike and Nathan Matechuk rounded out the IP awards with the Most Improved.
In the Novice division of Yorkton Minor Hockey: Ryder Korczak won the Most Dedicated award on the Clean Spot team, Dasek Sobkow won Most Sportsmanlike for the same team and teammate Jack Long won Most Improved Player award.
On the Farrell Agencies Terriers, Dylan Ringdal won Most Dedicated, Burke Sebastian won Most Sportsmanlike and Payton Popowich was voted Most Improved Player.
On the Frame Tech Terriers: Tanner Hoffman won Most Dedicated, Jonathan Hedley won most Sportsmanlike and Jayden Harris was the Most Improved Player.
From the Carlet's Farms Terriers: Most Dedicated went to Evan Krasowski, Most Sportsmanlike went to Chris Edel and Kael DePape won Most Improved.
In the Atom division, the Deneschuk Homes Terriers recognized: Parker Huber, Most Dedicated, Jordan Holinaty, Most Sportsmanlike and Graham Buckle, Most Improved Player.
The Co-operator Terriers presented plaques to: Jackson Berezowski, Most Dedicated, Cade Bracken, Most Sportsmanlike and to Andy VanHearden, Most Improved Player.
The Kawchuk Construction Terriers recognized: Tyler Harasymuk, Most Dedicated, Koen Kucher-Paulmark, Most Sportsmanlike, and Montana Cochrane, Most Improved Player.
From the Scoops team, Brennin Stein, Most Dedicated, Dylan Novak, Most Sportsmanlike and Jordan Stewart, Most Improved Player.
From the Atom AA Xerox Terriers that lost less then five games all season long, Reid Perepeluk won the Most Dedicated award, Nolan Mair won Most Sportsmanlike and Nolan Budz took home the Most Improved Player award.
Three Pee Wee teams made presentations to a total of 12 players at the banquet.
Kade Johnson, Alex Kerr, Carter Washenfelder and Brodi Ottenbreit all won awards, Most Dedicated, Most Sportsmanlike, Most Improved respectively, while Ottenbreit took home the Protz Spirit award.
Winners of the same awards from the Premier Cabinets team included: Carter Park, Blair Kawchuk, Brody Popowich and Jordan Stoll.
From the Mark's Work Wearhouse Terriers, the same awards went to MacKenzie Flett/Dawson Stefanyshyn, Brett Guenther, Nicholas Demchuk and Zachary Goulden-Maddin.
In the Pee Wee Tier I category, Zack Andrusiak won Most Dedicated, Jonah Sutter, Most Sportsmanlike and Colby Entz won the Most Improved Player.
Four teams in the Association named award winners in the Bantam age level. The DR Auto Extras Terriers awarded Justin Guy, Most Dedicated, Justin Poirer, Most Sportsmanlike, and Taylor Seaton took home the Most Improved Player award.
The Quiznos Subs Terriers awarded Riley Cmoc, Most Dedicated, Carter Flasch, Most Sportsmanlike, and Kris Pidperhora went away with the Most Improved Player award.
From the UCT Tier I team, Levi Morin walked away with the award for Most Dedicated Player, Riley Rozdeba won Most Sportsmanlike Player, Colton Dudar took the prize for Most Improved, while Matt Kustra and Rylan Palchewich co-won the Clifford Bast Team Most Valuable Player award.
In the final age group, the Midget Tier I Kinsmen Club Yorkton Terriers, Elias Giannoulis was honoured with the Most Dedicated Player award, Colton Kitzan won Most Sportsmanlike, Dylan Johnson took Most Dedicated Player, team captain Riley Friday left with the Davidson Team Most Valuable Player award, Michael Berezny was named the winner of the Kriger Spirit award and Tyson Haas was voted the Protz Ironman.
And from the Yorkton Mano's Midget Terriers, Kosta Stamatinos, Most Dedicated, Tyler Sherwood, Most Sportsmanlike and Mackenzie Dobrowolski, Most Improved.
Other awards handed out that evening included: Chad Korczak, head coach of the year, Monte Taphorn, Volunteer of the Year, Jason Farrell/Farrell Agencies, Business of the Year, Warren Popick, Unsung Hero.
