YORKTON - A pregame shower and cloudy skies were just the right conditions for the Yorkton Lady Gridders Saturday.
The Gridders proved rather inhospitable hosts as they rolled over the visiting Estevan Viragos 40-6.
Yorkton had touchdowns from Leah Hoffman, Kayden Bowley, and Makayla Winters, Sahara Minchuk, Elexa Daigenault each scored their first TDs.
Lady Gridders coach Tyrell MacLean noted standouts on defence were Linnea Reanney, Maxine Czinkota, Morgan Sheppard and Grace Woytas.
The Lady Gridders record now sits at a flawless 3-0, setting up a huge game Friday as Yorkton travels down Highway #10 to take on Melville who are also undefeated in a game that is for first place.
