After rainouts against the Parkland Padres and Junior Cardinals, the Yorkton E&S Yankees took to their home field Sunday against the Swan River Reds.
This was the Reds' second game of the day as they had visited the Canora Supers in an earlier tilt with Canora coming out on top.
This game went much the same as the two clubs' prior meetings as the Yankees came out on top of a 20-3 score.
Starting pitcher Chris Wyatt was credited with the win in his three innings of work.
Wyatt allowed only one run on three hits. He also had two strike outs.
Dennis Gilchuk pitched the final four innings giving up two runs on four hits while striking out four.
Offensively, Derek Kohut got the Yankees off to an early start with a home run to left field that scored three runs.
Kohut also scored in the sixth inning. Kurt Karcha had one hit, one RBI and four runs scored.
Mackenzie Unyi also scored four runs and added two RBIs on one hit.
Jeremy Johnson had three RBIs on two hits and two runs scored. Evan Wasylyniuk scored once while Bryce Pasloski scored twice.
Pasloski added three RBIs on three hits. Tyrel Thorpe had one hit and one run scored with Jeff Bahrey adding two hits and two runs scored and one RBI.
Dennis Gilchuk and Mitch Datema each chipped in with one hit and one run scored. Gilchuk had two RBIs on the day.
