Swan River rink tops Norquay Mixed Bonspiel

A Swan River rink topped the annual Norquay Open Mixed Bonspiel that was played January 16 to 23 with 18 rinks participating. Out-of-town rinks were from Arran, Benito, Norquay, Pelly and Swan River.

First event — Winning the first event at the Norquay Open Mixed Bonspiel held January 16 to 23 was the Neil Watkins rink of Swan River, Man. On the team, from left, were: Neil Watkins, skip; Carter Watkins, second; Brian Harvey, lead, and Louise Watkins, third.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 A Swan River rink topped the annual Norquay Open Mixed Bonspiel that was played January 16 to 23 with 18 rinks participating.

Out-of-town rinks were from Arran, Benito, Norquay, Pelly and Swan River.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Neil Watkins rink of Swan River defeated the Joe Makohoniuk rink of Norquay. Third place went to the Todd Griffith rink and fourth, to the Bob Lumley rink of Norquay.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Winner of the second event was the Paul Abrahamson rink of Pelly, who had defeated the Ed Nelson rink of Pelly. Third place went to the Norquay Agencies rink and fourth, to Wes Lylyk.聽聽聽聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Winner of the third event was the Bradley Knutson rink of Norquay, who defeated the Jeremy Hrycenko rink of Arran. Third place went to the Jason Lukey rink of Norquay and fourth, to the Rick Kinaschuk rink of Arran.
