The Parkland Racing Association will be holding their monthly race date on Sept. 17 at the Yellowhead International Speedway. The event is sponsored by C.J. The demolition derby on Sept. 18 is sponosored Access Communications Admission cost is $8 for those 13 years of age and over, $4 for those between 6-12 and those five years and under are admitted free of charge. Fall registration for Yorkton Minor Hockey runs until tonight (Aug. 31), from 11-3 p.m. Registration takes place inside the hockey office at the Kinsmen Arena. For additional information, contact Gina at 783-5070.


City-Wide registration night will be held tonight at the Gallagher Centre from 6-9p.m. Over 40 sports, culture, and recreational groups will be in attendance promoting their activities and taking registrations for the upcoming season. For additional information, please contact 786-1750.


The Yorkton Sports Bank will be opening its doors to the public on Sept. 6 in the basement of City Hall. They will be holding an equipment drive tonight at the City Wide registration. It will be in the Flexihall from 6-9p.m. Amber Zaharia, urban youth sport co-ordinator, will have a booth set up for anyone wishing to drop off used sporting goods, including boys and girls hockey and figure skates, or any other hockey gear in usable condition.


The Yorkton Junior 'A Terriers will be holding their tryout camp this weekend at the Gallagher Centre. For related astory, see Page B1 in today's Yorkton This Week. The team will also have a new assistant coach to join head coach, Trent Cassan.
