The Yorkton Jr. Cardinals play three games this week. On Tuesday, they are scheduled to play the Yorkton Yankees. Results were not available in time for press. On Wednesday, they go back to Melville for a rematch of Sunday's 14-3 win at Pirie Field and on Thursday they play the Yankees again.
Disc golf is now available at Yorkton's Patrick Park. Come out and enjoy nine holes of Yorkton's newest sport. There is no cost and the course doesn't close.
The Health Foundation Charity Road Race Learn to Run clinics are still СÀ¶ÊÓƵ offered Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:45 p.m. They are held at the YRHS parking lot. Anyone is welcome to join but must sign up for the Road Race in August. Clinics stress nutrition, stretching and pacing.
The Western Major Baseball League Yorkton Cardinals are scheduled for three games this week leading into the Canada Day holiday. On Monday and Tuesday, they play a home-and-home series with the Melville Millionaires, Monday here and Tuesday in Melville. On Wednesday, they play Weyburn at home. Game time is 7:05 p.m. On Canada Day, the host Melville, also at 7:05 p.m., and on Saturday, they head to Moose Jaw to play the Miller Express at Ross Wells Park.
The City will be offering a wakeboard clinic next month at York Lake. Registration deadline is on June 30. The cost is $65 per one-day clinic.
The Gloria Hayden Community Centre hours of operation for summer are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-12 noon and 1-4:30 p.m. They are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
