The Yorkton volleyball club continues to play at home this weekend (March 26-27) when they host a tournament at the Gloria Hayden Centre and St. Michael's and MC Knoll.


The Yorkton volleyball club continues to play at home this weekend (March 26-27) when they host a tournament at the Gloria Hayden Centre and St. Michael's and MC Knoll. The games will be played by the 15 and under age group in the Asics Cup II tournament.


The Yorkton Terriers are playing in the Sherwood Conference final with the Kindersley Klippers. Games 3 and 4 are scheduled for Kindersley this week.


The Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association is returning to Yorkton on March 23 at Sacred Heart, The clinic is for anyone in Gr. 4-8 from 7:30-9 p.m.. Admission is free but space is limited. Registration deadline is March 22.



The Bantam UCT AA Terriers play game 2 of a best of three series tonight at the Kinsmen Arena against the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Terriers are one win away from clinching the 'B' side championship in the SSMHL Bantam division. Game time is tonight at 6:15p.m.


The two Yorkton high schools will be teaming up for a good cause tonight when the annual Teacher/Student benefit hockey game takes place. It will be at the Farrell Agencies Arena. Teams will be the teachers from both schools and the Melville Comprehensive School against the students. The proceeds from ticket sales and corporate sponsorship will to go help a Melville student, Melissa Mish, who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. She will be travelling to Regina and Winnipeg for treatment. Tickets to the game can be purchased at the arena box office for $2 apiece. Anyone with questions or concerns is invited to contact Sacred Heart High School at 783-3128. Former NHLer Jeff Odgers is scheduled to play with the teachers. Game time is 7pm.
