Preeceville and Norquay rinks tie for first of Norquay seniors bonspiel

Two rinks tie for top spot at the Norquay Seniors Bonspiel held February 20 to 23. Rinks attended from Sturgis, Canora, Swan River, Bowsman, Preeceville, Kamsack and Yorkton.

Rinks attended from Sturgis, Canora, Swan River, Bowsman, Preeceville, Kamsack and Yorkton.

Placing first were the teams skipped by Eugene Gulka of Preeceville and Russell Lulashnyk of Pelly/Norquay.

Curling with Gulka were: Stella Gulka, lead; Mary Pasiechnik, second, and Bob Lebo, third, while curling with Lulashnyk were: Evelyn Larson, lead; Jerry Larson, second, and Donna Lulashnyk, third.

Placing second was the Bob Lumley rink of Norquay. Curling with Lumley, the skip, were: Jerry Chemcora, lead; Jim Predinchuk, second, and Wilf Romanow, third.

The Whistle Stop restaurant catered the bonspiel banquet.
