Outlook River Hawks Win Season Opener

Team enters second year on impressive note

The Outlook River Hawks took to Diamond #3 at the Jim Kook Rec Plex grounds on Tuesday, May 28 for their season opener, hosting the Kyle Yellow Jackets on a warm spring evening.

It soon became apparent that Outlook had come prepared, as the River Hawks found themselves up on the board at a score of 5-1 after two innings, impressive right out of the gate and taking a commanding lead to kick off their second season in front of their hometown fans.

Outlook kept things up throughout much of the evening, and by the bottom of the third, the score was now 9-1 in favor of the Hawks.

However, Kyle came back and retaliated in the second half of the game, scoring three in the first half of the fourth inning.  By the fifth inning stretch, the score was 9-6 for Outlook.

By the time things wound down, the River Hawks had managed to keep the Yellow Jackets at bay, taking the win at a score of 9-6.

In an away game the following night against the Kindersley Cubs, things were turned around on Outlook and it was the hosting Cubs who took the win at a score of 15-5.
