The next generation of dedicated track athletes may have been on display at Outlook Elementary School last week when staff and students held their yearly track and field meet.
The event held on Friday, June 9 benefited from a sunny morning before it decided to rain through part of the noon hour, but luckily that didn鈥檛 deter the afternoon events such as the relays, which drew a sizable audience of parents, family and friends as the kids darted back and forth with the relay batons, passing them off and scurrying up and down the track in the hopes that they came in first.
Whether it was high jump, standing jump, ball throw or the afternoon relays, the kids looked to be having a blast outside in the fresh air with family members cheering them on, and it was undoubtedly a fun way to end the school week before going home for the weekend.
