聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 From the late 1940s to the mid-1950s, the Kamsack Cyclones baseball team was a force to be reckoned with and recently a Roblin resident submitted a photograph of the team and the stub to a lottery ticket that was sold during games.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e hope (the photo) brings back special memories and smiles to many faces,鈥 Marlene Miller of Roblin said in a note that accompanied the photo and ticket stub.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The photo, although stained, faded and creased, is of 15 young men wearing the Cyclones鈥 uniform, with a few people on a bleacher at back.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The ticket stub, which identifies it as a receipt for having donated $1 to the Kamsack Cyclones Baseball Club, was good for a draw on a 1952 Chevrolet Sedan.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The grand award will be made after the final game at the 1952 ball tournament at Kamsack on July 12, the ticket says. 鈥淭icket holder need not be present when award is made. Holder of selected ticket will be entitled to purchase 1952 Chevrolet sedan supplied by Allan Motors, Kamsack, for $1.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 All the money raised is for the promotion of sport, it says. 鈥淭his is your receipt for associate membership in Kamsack Cyclones Baseball Club.鈥
