Darryl Binkley and Glen Sterzer of Kamsack once again won the men’s division of the Canora Seniors’ Golf Tournament.
The pair shot a 76 during the competition which was played on Friday.
There were 45 golfers participating, substantially more than the 34 who took part last year, said Glen Leson, tournament organizer.
Dean Doroschuk and Dale Rohn of Preeceville placed second in the championship flite.
Garry Mackisey and Glen Leson of Canora won the first flite while Dennis Van Dale and Guy Nagy placed second.
In the mixed event, Dean and Phyllis Paul of Preeceville won. Laird and Jan Gervais placed second.
In the first flite, Tom and Norma Loster won fi rst place while Dave and Holly Masters of Crystal Lake placed second.
In the women’s division, Linda Macfayden and Marge Montain placed first, while Sharon Ciesielski and Nancy Leson of Canora placed second.
The golf tournament received very good sponsorship this year, said Glen Leson. For the novelty prizes, there were wristwatches for the closest to the pin on Hole No. 5. Dwight MacDonald won for the men and Holly Masters won for the women. For the longest drives, Marge Montain won for the women while the men’s division winners were broken up into four categories: Terry Dennis won for men aged 50-54; Dean Doroschuk won for men aged 55-60, Darryl Binkley won for men aged 61-69, and Dean Paul won for men aged 70 and over.
