As the booth announcer at Kinsmen Century Field said Saturday, there are a couple of names of football players that will one day be the answers to some trivia questions.
There were four football games played there over the weekend and two happenings that someone somewhere probably won't ever forget.
Garion Miller and Tanner Kardynal both scored touchdowns last weekend.
One came early in the evening, the other came early the next morning.
For four weekends this fall, there is a slate of football going on in town.
Anyone recording stats during these games is going to have a few to hold on to amidst of all this football action.
Miller was representing the Yorkton atom football team.
According to Yorkton Minor Football, this has never existed before. A group of kids around age nine who are learning to play football.
Yorkton lost the game but Miller's touchdown effort stood out.
That might be because they got on the scoreboard with their first six points in the team's history (which started about a month or so ago).
The atom team has played at least one home game so far this season. In their most recent game, they scored twice.
The night before, with more fans packing the Century Field stands than a hockey game in September, the Yorkton Regional High School Raider senior football team was pumped up for their chance to improve their overall record to 1-1.
When their schedule was released not long ago, there were not one, but three night dates on their schedule.
For the past three seasons, YRHS finds itself in a schedule full of early afternoon starts.
One of this season's night games was played here on Friday. The other two are scheduled for Notre Dame and Regina. At the start of this game on Friday, Kardynal took control of the game's opening kickoff and ran the ball into the end zone like it was postmarked.
For a team that needed to get into the win column, there probably wouldn't have been a better start for Roby Sharpe and his crew.
When special teams opens the scoring even before either QB gets to put a hand on the football, things are looking up.
Says Raider rookie QB Dalton Fichtner: "That first play when Tanner got the TD. That set the tone."
Miller got credit for the first TD of the atoms' season, Kardynal managed to bring the house down in less than 30 seconds in their first ever night game.
