CCS senior girls basketball team undefeated in own tournament

The Canora Composite School鈥檚 senior girls basketball team won its own eight-team tournament played January 27 and 28. Canora defeated Esterhazy 49-32; Norquay, 49-43 and Birch Hills, 46-40, said Curtis Baillie, head coach.

The Canora Composite School鈥檚 senior girls basketball team won its own eight-team tournament played January 27 and 28.

Canora defeated Esterhazy 49-32; Norquay, 49-43 and Birch Hills, 46-40, said Curtis Baillie, head coach.

Also attending the tournament were teams from St. Breux, Langenburg, Kamsack and Moosomin.

At Norquay on January 31 for an exhibition game, Canora won 57-32.

鈥淭he girls have been playing very good basketball,鈥 Baillie said. 鈥淓veryone on the team is doing her best.

鈥淭he season has been a success for us, but there鈥檚 more work to do,鈥 he said.

On Friday and Saturday, the team will be attending a tournament in Kelvington and then will be attending a tournament in Norquay on March 3 and 4, leading to the conference playdowns 小蓝视频 held March 10 and 11.
