Canora Composite School’s junior football team, the Canora junior Cougars, earned one win and one loss during the latest games for the football season.
           Kim Eiteneier, the team’s coach, said that the team lost to the Kamsack Spartans 28-6 on September 26, but went on to play the Hudson Bay Composite High School team on September 27 and win 26-12.
           The team, which consists of Jesse Biletski, Dorian Jones, Grady Wolkowski, Durban Hleboff, Jacob Danyluk, Daniel Sanderson, Matthew Rock, Alden Baron, Derek Barteski, Tim Pohl and Carson Ostafie, played well during both games. The touchdown made at the Kamsack Spartans’ game was made by Alden Baron. Tim Pohl made three touchdowns during the game in Hudson Bay while Derek Barteski made one.
           The team is now hard at work preparing for its upcoming games and a jamboree, which will be held in Canora with teams from Hudson Bay and Preeceville attending.
