Gerry Adam and his foursome came out on top of the 'A' side event as the Yorkton Curling Club wrapped up men's competition over the weekend.

Adam won the BMO/Nesbitt Burns event to cap off a perfect weekend for his team in which they won all four draws they played. Adam played alongside Bryan Derbowka, Ron Kaban and Tim Szabo.

They beat Trischuk, McGerrigle, and Fruin on their way to the final where they topped Team Sharp to finish off. He said it was another good tournament hosted by the YCC. Three members of his team had played before so it made the draws a little easier. He said their biggest strength was having good draw weight.

"It makes it good," he said. "It makes it easier on the skip."

The win wraps up the curling season for his team.

Other winners in the B/C/D events were Team Lonnie Kelly winning 4-3 in the 'D' final, Team Mike McIntyre won 6-4 in the 'B' side final, while Team Larry Folk won the 'C' final with a two point victory over Bernie Trischuk.
