聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 An annual toy drive is 小蓝视频 held during the Winter Lights Festival to give back to the community and to those who may otherwise go without gifts for the Christmas season.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Yuletide Medic Drive, better known as the Yuletide Toy Drive, is 小蓝视频 held once again this year, said spokesperson Jocelyne Weinbender with the Canora Ambulance. The drive has been held every year since 2010, when it was organized by the late Byron Chayeski.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In 2015, the Yuletide Toy Drive gave gifts to 32 children in order to 鈥渂ring smiles to kids whose families may not be able to buy gifts,鈥 according to information from the Canora Ambulance.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 This year, Canora Ambulance has partnered with The Bargain Shop with the goal of making sure every child in need is given a gift to enjoy for the holiday season. Weinbender also acknowledged Mavis Watson, who often informs the drive organizers of children who are in need.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Donations of new toys, books, crafts and games may be left in donation bins at The Bargain Shop, Canora Junior Elementary School, Canora Composite School, Canora Ambulance Care, Crossroads Credit Union, or the CIBC during business or office hours. Monetary donations may also be left at the Canora Ambulance office. All donations will be accepted until December 15, but food and used items may not be donated.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e do this as a way to pay back the community and give to those who need it,鈥 Weinbender said.
