YORKTON - It was a day to smile for Brian Trebish as he collected a cheque for $56,160.

The money was from the add-on 50/50 draw of the Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer 1970 Dodge Charger Resto Mod Raffle draw made  Aug. 20.

“My life won’t change with this,” offered a smiling Trebish at the presentation Wednesday at Weinmaster Park near Brayden's Memorial Jeep. “It will help my retirement fund.”

Trebish, from Yorkton, said buying a ticket for a good cause was just something he likes to do.

“There was no wondering if I should (buy a ticket). I just did,” he said, adding he likes to help fund-raise for health-related things such as STARS and the Brayden Ottenbreit initiative because they are important.

“You never know when you’re going to need it.”

Greg Ottenbreit said the 50/50 draw did very well.

“The more it grew the more interest,” he said, but added raising more than $100K before the split was more than they had expected. “It blew, I think, just about everybody away.”
