Woman wanted on Canada-wide warrant appears in Saskatoon court

Heather Peequaquat was remanded in custody at her Oct. 22 court appearance

SASKATOON – A woman wanted by Saskatoon Police on unlawful confinement and aggravated assault charges was apprehended and appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Heather Rene Peequaquat, 33, was remanded in custody at her Oct. 22 court appearance. She is scheduled back in court Nov. 4 for a show cause hearing.

Last year Saskatoon Police charged Peequaquat but were unable to locate her. In June 2021 Saskatoon Police released Peequaquat’s photo and asked the public’s help locating her. She was also wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for 小蓝视频 unlawfully at large.

According to police, they received a report on Aug. 21, 2020, that a 26-year-old man was the victim of an aggravated assault and an unlawful confinement at a house in the 400 block of Avenue G 小蓝视频.The victim sustained injuries but has since recovered.

Police say the attack wasn’t random.

In July 2021, Saskatoon Police charged 38-year-old Jordan Gamble with aggravated assault and unlawful confinement in connection with the incident. He appears next in Saskatoon Provincial Court Nov. 8.

The charges against Peequaquat and Gamble haven’t been proven in court.
