Lorne Procyshen, playing the dulcimer (cymbally), and Peter Kobelka, playing the violin, provided lively entertainment for the Canora Kenn Age Centre social on November 15.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The pair offered toe-tapping music, stories and jokes and even led in a sing-along to keep the crowd of 71 entertained, said Jean Zarazun, a spokesperson for the Centre.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A special anniversary waltz was played for Steve and Jean Kobelka, who were celebrating their 59th anniversary. It was also a special waltz for Mike and Mary Waselyshen who were celebrating their 55th anniversary. Fred and Marian Krukoff also had a special dance to celebrate Fred鈥檚 94th birthday.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A portion of the program was dedicated to honour nine birthday celebrants: Leo Rakochy, Carol Kosar, Fred Krukoff, Mary Prokopetz, Carl Okrainetz, Bernice Rakochy, Josie Matsalla, Elsie Hycha and Geraldine Wiebe.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Birthday cakes were donated by Bernice Rakochy, Josie Matsalla and Elsie Carsten. Doris Slugoski and Olga Baulin prepared the lunch and grace was said by Jean Zarazun.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Edith Kotzer was the photographer for the afternoon and Etta Fletcher looked after the guest book.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 During a break in the entertainment, Nick Rudachuk told the crowd about a very disturbing event that happened at home. It took a lot of hard work to erect a 10-foot Santa Claus decoration in front of his home. It wasn鈥檛 long before he had found it slashed and deflated.
