Waste water projects discussed at Council meeting

The Town of Preeceville council discussed many topics at its regular meeting held on April 15. Council tabled all discussions on the 2021 annual operating budget to the May meeting.

Council tabled all discussions on the 2021 annual operating budget to the May meeting.

Topics discussed at the April 15 meeting included the waste water projects. A quote provided by Hope Construction to supply and install a game fence around the waste water treatment cells at the lagoon site for $40,000 was accepted by council.

The project status report for the Waste Water Treatment Facility Project was accepted and filed.

The bylaw enforcement officer report was acknowledged and filed. The Town of Preeceville appointed the Commissionaires for 小蓝视频 Saskatchewan as the bylaw enforcement officer.

Council approved the policy where all dogs and cats must be on a leash at all times within the Town's East Highway Park, Annie Laurie Lake beach area, and the town's trailer court park. Owners must remove and clean up after all dog and pets.

Reports that were acknowledged and filed were by the Chief Administrator, town foreman, mayor, Community Development Officer and the Recreation Co-ordinator report.

Approval was given for Ashley Ward, Chris Halkyard and Jason Durand to attend a fall protection course. Ward and Durand also attended the Confined Spaces course.

Halkyard successfully completed a Level 2 Waste Water Treatment and Collection course.

Rodney Daschuk and Colin Masko were appointed the Town of Preeceville crow and pigeon control officers for the 2021 season.

The quote provided by Home Hardware and Riley and Josh Erickson to supply and install 11 windows for Phase 3 of the Administration building window replacement project was approved.

Tattle Systems access agreement with North Star Systems Inc., was renewed for a three-year term for monitoring units located at the town's well building and water treatment plant.

Council approved the Waste Water compliance inspection report provided by the Water Security Agency.

One building permit was approved for a detached garage.

A tax concession was given to the owner of 206 Highway Ave East.

The sanitation agreement with John Masko and Colin Masko to provide domestic garbage collection and disposal services for the town was approved.

Contract agreements that were approved for renewal were the Chamber of Commerce and the Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship Association.

Mayor Ralph Ager, and councilors Stacey Strykowski and Welma Bartel attended the virtual 2021 Municipalities of Saskatchewan meeting and workshop.

Committee reports filed were submitted by the Preeceville Sportsgrounds committee, the Arena board, Legion Hall, Recreation board and the Parkland Regional Waste Management Authority.
