According to Philip Perepelkin, government regulations are preventing the organization from hosting any of the events and fundraisers that have been integral in supporting the museum in years past.
Instead, a quiet opening at the end of June will allow visitors to tour the grounds and various buildings on the Veregin property seven days per week. None of the typical special events or fundraisers will be happening this summer. However, visiting the museum with your family is still a possibility. Visitors are invited to either book a tour in advance or drop in between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All visitors must report to the office to register and pay an admission fee that helps support the museum operations.
The museum relies on fundraising support and government grants to hire summer students and maintain the grounds. Funds are also needed for an elevator restoration project. Donations are always welcome and can be accepted at the office.
