Chili cook off
An added attraction at the Buchanan Open was a chili cook off which attracted seven competitors.
Sam and John Teslia teamed up for the win. They called their entry “Where’s the Beef?”
Bonnie Bazarski with an entry she called “Dog-Gone Chili,” placed second.
About 35 persons attending the cook off were each asked to taste chili samples provided by the seven competitors and then vote for their favourites.
“It was a great fundraiser for the curling club,” said Heather Wiebe, one of the organizers.
