The presentation of The Garden of Saskatchewan Plaque for volunteer service and snow dumped on town property were among the items of concern to town council at its regular meeting on February 25.
Council was pleased to present The Garden of Saskatchewan Plaque to Bryan Cottenie in recognition of his many volunteer contributions to the community. The presentation was made by Jason Pennell, Councilor.
Council acknowledged the update from Councilor Pennell and the Administrator on solar opportunities.
After a property owner on Third Avenue North contravened a town bylaw by placing snow on town property, council agreed that the town superintendent would meet with adjacent property owners, and if there are concerns related to run-off, the snow would be removed.
Council agreed that social programs should be outside the scope of the RFP (Request for Proposals), and further, that the RFP should be as inclusive as possible and extend to facilities, programs and activities related to recreation, wellness and the arts in Kamsack and that a draft of the RFP be provided to council for review prior to the tender 小蓝视频 issued.聽聽
Council approved an exemption under the noise bylaw, to allow Chris Chutskoff to begin snow removal at 6 a.m. rather than 7 a.m., subject to the purchase of a 2019 business license.
A bylaw to repeal expired bylaws was introduced, read three times and adopted.
A bylaw to enter into an agreement with the RM of Cote for fire services was introduced, read three times and adopted
A bylaw to enter into an agreement with the Village of Rhein to provide mutual aid support for fires was introduced, read three times and adapted.
A bylaw to enter into an agreement with the Village of Togo for landfill services was introduced, read three times and adopted.
Council approved the performance review of the CAO (Chief Administrative Officer) and agreed that the process/recommendations from CAMA (Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators) is to be reviewed and implemented for future CAO performance reviews.聽聽
