聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 With flu season closing in along with winter, the Sunrise Health Region is offering vaccinations to help keep Canora and area residents healthy.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A total of 275 people attended the Sunrise Health Region鈥檚 first immunization clinic in Canora, which was held November 3 at the Keen Age Centre. Kelly Strelioff, the Canora public health nurse, provided immunizations along with Monique Trowell, the public health nurse for the Kamsack district, and Deb Grywacheski, the Preeceville public health nurse.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Volunteers who helped screen patients and ensure the event ran smoothly were Edith Kotzer, Bernice Wilgosh, Joanne Zawislak, and Dianne Laplante.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The vaccines provided at the vaccination clinics are free and available to anyone six months of age and up, according to information from the Sunrise Health Region. Those attending such clinics were reminded to bring their health cards.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淭he vaccine protects us from four different strains of Influenza A and B viruses,鈥� the information said.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Four more clinics will be held this year in the Canora area: one at Buchanan Club 50 Plus on November 9, one at the Canora Rainbow Hall on November 19, one at the Keen Age Centre on December 1 and one at the Canora Public Health Office on December 12.
